Who hasn't heard of the legendary VESPA scooter? It is a symbol of the Italian "dolce vita" and one of the most famous scooters in the world! Here's a bit of its history:

Piaggio was founded in 1884 in Genoa by Rinaldo Piaggio. In 1946, the Vespa 98 was born, the first model in the series, which revolutionized the world of transportation and became an instant success. In 1956, the Vespa 150 was produced, with a 150 cm3 engine, a high-performance scooter that led Piaggio to achieve million-unit sales. Other iconic models included the 1966 Vespa 90 Super Sprint, the 1976 Vespa 125 ET3, the 1985 Vespa 50S, and the innovative 1996 Vespa ET2 and ET4, which featured an elegant design and modern engine. The sleek and refined Vespa became a symbol of Made in Italy and a true legend. It is widespread both in Italy and abroad, especially in cities where transportation issues are particularly noticeable.

Today, various models are produced, some more powerful and faster, such as the Vespa GTS, and others simpler and more elegant, like the Vespa Primavera. In addition to the scooter, don't forget the "Vespa" accessories and gadgets that add a trendy touch to every motorcyclist.

One of Piaggio's factories has been transformed into a special museum: in the town of Pontedera, the main production center has become a vast exhibition space that blends the historical heritage of this ancient Italian company with some priceless vintage models. This fascinating exhibition is definitely worth visiting, so be sure to check out the extraordinary Vespa Museum!

Additionally, from April 18th to 21st, 2024, you have the opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of the VESPA WORLD DAYS, where this year marks the 140th anniversary of Piaggio's founding and 100 years of the factory built in Pontedera.
